Helen Kiddy from Essential Sewing Services shows Bobbie Heavens from Truffle Herefordshire how shorten a pair of jeans.
"I’ve taking more trousers down (and up) and replaced more zips over the last 10 years than I dare to remember" laughs Helen Kiddy at Essential Sewing Services in Ross-on-Wye. Helen recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of her business in Gloucester Road.
“Essential Sewing Services doesn’t just provide a clothing alteration service." said Helen. "‘We make and repair curtains and we work wonders with prom dresses and wedding dresses. In fact we pride ourselves in being able to alter garments to fit the whole bridal party."
Passionate about her home town of Ross-on-Wye, Helen Kiddy is a founder member of The Association of Ross Traders (ART) and is a keen and active member in the organization that promotes the benefits of shopping in the ever popular market town. She has organized the Pancake Races through the streets of Ross-on-Wye since the popular annual event was resurrected three years ago!
"I’m delighted to have achieved the 10 year mark for the business" said Helen. "It wouldn‘t have been possible without valued support of local customers, colleagues and my family.”
